Ekkachai Wongmanow

Ekkachai Wongmanow (Master of Yoga Therapy in Thailand )

Thrapist in Thailand

My journey in yoga therapy – Ekkachai Wongmanow I was once suffering from severe back pain - so I could not even work. I never thought that a healing session would change everything. Earlier, I did not believe in yoga or bodywork. I felt that all this was about pain and discomfort. My first experience with treatment came from my mother, who practiced simple home remedies and stretch. Sometimes, she asks me to press or step on her back - inadvertently, this was my first relationship with medical touch. Eventually, I enrolled in a basic 60-hour yoga and therapy course. For my surprise, I was able to relieve my own trigger finger and hand pain. That experience awakened something in me. I continued to learn and eventually completed 560 hours of advanced training in Mai Rim, Chiang Mai under the guidance of Professor Jumlong Wonmano - A Master of Body Movement and Healing Arts. After graduation, I did an internship at a neurological hospital. Although I was still suffering from chronic back pain, I deepened my awareness about the body and its treatment ability. I then spent more than 7 years at Ton Hew Health Center, practicing traditional Thai techniques combined with medical yoga - including postural alignment, energy channel work and body balance. When the center moved, I started traveling more widely. I shared yoga therapy in clinics in Bangkok and was invited by senior monks to offer healing sessions across Thailand. Since 2007, I completely dedicated myself to yoga therapy and overall medicine. By 2018, I had experience over 21 years. I have trained with various masters - which also includes Professor Yeh from Taiwan, who helped me deeply understand physical composition and structural adjustment through yogic lenses.
